Aqua-Parks
Aqua-Park, Rojales
10 minutes from 'Casa Alta', it has a large swimming pool, 3 children's pools, 4 gentle water slides and 2 kamikaze runs. There are sun beds and parasols, a restaurant and easy parking. Open from 11-7, prices are 10 Euros (aged 11-64) and 8 Euros (under 11 and over 65).

Aquapolis, Torrevieja
(20 minutes from 'Casa Alta'). Located in the Finca de la Hoya Grande area of Torrevieja, it is one of the biggest water parks on the Costa Blanca. Offering a huge variety of slides it is open from 11-7 (June to August) and 11-6 (rest of the year). Entry prices are 19.50 Euros (aged 11-64) and 13.80 Euros (3-10 yr olds and over 65).

Mundomar (Sea World) Marine Exotic Animals Park, Alicante
(Probably about an hour from 'Casa Alta'). Located to the east of Benidorm, approached by the A7, and then follow the signs. It includes a dolphinarium, penguins, turtles, sea lions, parrots and flamingos. During the day there are Dolphin Shows lasting 40 minutes (at 1330, 1630 and 1900), Sea Lion Shows lasting 30 minutes (at 1215, 1800 and 2015), and Parrot Shows (at 1100, 1430 and 1530). A restaurant and kiosks offer refreshments and there is a children's park.
Entry prices are 11 Euros for 3-12 year olds, 16 Euros for adults.

Terra Mitica Theme Park
(Roughly an hour from 'Casa Alta')
Located off CV70 via A7 motorway, exit 65a, north of Alicante . This theme park, opened in 2000, offers a fun day for all the family. It has a whole range of sites depicting ancient civilizations with miniaturized buildings of the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Iberians. There are super fast and slow rides, theatres, restaurants and snack bars. Open from the end of March to the beginning of November, entry prices are 33 Euros (per adult) and 25 Euros (junior and senior citizens).

near the marina. Open in the summer, with a good selection of rides and a full flight simulator (taking off and landing a Boeing 737).
Guardamar
by La Reina Sofia Park, close to the beach at the northern end of the town.
During the summer months there are lots of rides for various ages, many bars and restaurants and an ice-cream parlour, plus market stalls selling clothes, leather, jewellery, toys near by.

Balloon Flights
These are arranged from Elche, and include a 40 minute flight over the area to the south of Alicante.

Water Sports
Alicante
There is a huge marina at Alicante, offering many opportunities for boat trips or boat hire. The Cuevas (caves) del Canelobre and Calaveres are located near Alicante.
Guardamar
There are 500 moorings at the Marina de las Dunas, and opportunities for sailing, wind-surfing, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, underwater diving and fishing.
La Zenia (south of Torrevieja)
Provides boating, fishing and water sports.
Santa Pola
Has pedalos, sailing, kite-surfing, diving and fishing and offers boat trips to Tabarca.

Torrevieja
Offers boat trips to the nearby island of Tabarca or sailing along the coast in catamarans, excursions into huge sea-side caves with stalactites, or an evening dinner cruise. Submarine trips are also available.
There are also opportunities for sailing, windsurfing and diving.

In Torrevieja offers roulette, blackjack, baccarat, wheel of fortune and slot machines.
Mud baths /Natural Hot Spas
Are available at Fortuna (see Places to Visit) and Archena where thermal or peloid mud and purified sea water offer relief for arthritis, rheumatism and skin conditions.
